so, yesterday i went to school... and it was pretty unexciting.
great books to great music - we watched Oedipus Rex the opera. it was semi-amusing because the narrator reminded me of William Shatner, and the boys all had white face paint so they blended in with the walls nicely... other than that, fairly unremarkable.
jazz history - um... we talked about a mostly-blind piano player, and two other musicians, but I can't recall their names right now.
choir - we took a field trip to some retirement home and I drove Laura and Monica and Nichole and... another girl whose name I can't recall right now... Amy? we got lost on the way but so did a bunch of people. so when we got there, we sang in a remarkably acoustically un-sound room that was about 90 degree warmer than it should've been... and then I dropped Nichole & Amy off at school, Laura and Monica at their cars and went home.
after school, we (we being Laura, Monica, Cameron and I) went to Perkins around 7:30 with the intent to leave around 9 to go see The Italian Job at cheap seats. instead, we sat at Perkins until about 11:30 p.m. discussing philosophy and faith and science and other such things. we came up with some interesting analogies for Cameron's belief system - the high & lo definition tvs analogy which also incorporated the tin foil analogy, the salt & flatware analogy, the horseback riding analogy, and i think there was another but i can't recall it.
then Cameron drove me home and we discussed some more stuff in connection to the Perkins conversation. then i said something that was mean even tho it wasn't intended to be and we decided that it was time to stop talking and go home to sleep so we did.
today i got up and went to school where i attended ear training, where we did some composition, algebra, where i did crossword puzzles and theory, where i talked with Dan & Melissa. i ate lunch with Monica and Matt and Dan and Melissa and Laura and Nichole and some girl i didn't know, so that was fun but aside from that, nothing interesting at school.
after school, i went home and got some gas money. then i went and put gas in my car and parked in the parking lot across from MHS where i read my book until Cameron got out of school. we talked for awhile and then we went to our respective homes.
now i am waiting to find something to do tonight... d&d was brought up but we don't know how realistic that suggestion it... mommy wants me to watch the Nip/Tuck marathon with her, which i might do... we shall see how it goes!
ciao!

That was our secret password today at D&D when we were magically transported (a la Alice in Wonderland) thru a mirror to another plane of existance.
Anyways, so I last posted on Friday but I didn't really post anything of interest... so I will back up to Friday and tell ya about my weekend.
Friday
Friday day was normal school day, as I recall. After school I went home where I did a lot of nothing, I think. I originally intended to go to the MHS vs NHS football game but then I got a call from Travis suggesting that we get the group together for a night of scary movies and haunted house visiting. So, after I brought Lara home from piano, I went and picked up Nichole and we went over to Travis' where we were joined by Monica and eventually Laura and Cameron and we watched Identity which was weird... but pretty good. Then, we got in my van and went over to Burial Chamber. It kinda sucked that night; no one was really in character. But that's okay. Anyways, then we went back to Travis' and Cameron and I left to go to my house for about 30-45 minutes and then he went home and I went to sleep.
Saturday
I got up at 8 a.m. because I had to go to Theatrix. So I had Theatrix from 9 to noon, with a random trip to SMC in there somewhere to open up for the Grease choreography rehearsal. Then, after I dropped Brooke off at SMC, I went home and helped clean until Cameron came over around 3. We hung out until we had to go to Burial Chamber and then we were there from 6 until about 11:45. Then we went home. I was very very sore from standing on fence posts for 4.5 hours.
Sunday
I think I slept in... but I don't really remember. Oh yeah, I slept til 10:30 and then I got up and helped clean and then Cameron came over around 12:30 and Mom's crazy knitting friends came over also. Cameron and I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade while Mom and her friends got slightly inebriated and chatted over knitting and lots of good desserts. Once we were done with the movies, Cameron and I played Sorry! and Uno and then we played Mille Bornes with Lara and Dad. Cameron went home around 10 and I went to finish up my Algebra homework (ew!).
Monday
Today I got up at 8 a.m. to help Mom take Spot, Sassy, Tuppy, Pixel and Spike into the vet. That was an adventure. I left the vet at about 20 to 10 and hightailed it over to school for Ear Training which was semi-fun for once. After that, I went to the ER to finish Algebra and learn my voice lesson music. Then at noon, I went to my voice lesson where I bombed my choir midterm and most of my voice lesson pieces... oh well. At 1, I went to Theory which is becoming more and more boring. And then from 2 until 3:15, I sat in the ER making sure my Algebra was caught up before my meeting with Prof. Oakland at 3:15 (he showed up at 3:25). Then I headed home. I did some homework and talked on the phone with Cameron for awhile. Around 5:30 I decided I needed a nap, so I went to sleep for 2 hours and was awakened by a phone call from Cameron telling me to come over and play D&D, which I did until about 10:45 and then I went home. We were really special tonight at D&D but that's okay cuz it was fun.
Well, it's time for sleep, I think...
OH! By the way, that monologue I posted yesterday wasn't meant to be a slash at ALL Christian music... just the irritating Kum Ba Ya sort of stuff. I love Michael W. Smith and Reliant K and Sonic Flood and Switchfoot and Newsboys and such, I just get irritated by some of the "God loves me, I love God, God, God, God, this has no musical merit but that's okay because it's about God" type music. LoL... Anyways, just thought I'd clear that up.

ALGEBRA SUCKS A BIG FAT ONE (AND LIKES IT!)
Okay, so I hate Algebra.
Today, I got up and went to Ear Training...
And then I skipped Algebra...
And then I worked on Algebra homework...
And then I went to Theory where I almost broke the computer...
And then Monica and I went to LU Liberry where we worked on Algebra from 3 to 8 p.m...
And then I went home and waited to go pick up Lara...
And then I picked up Lara and came home again...
And then I went to Perkins where I did Algebra while Laura studied for Theatre and Nichole did Bio...
And now I'm at home doing Algebra...
I HATE ALGEBRA!

That about sums up the past however-many days it's been since I posted.
Thursday, Oct 2 - Started with Cameron and I arguing in the West College Ave. Perkins parking lot (talk about "Happy Anniversary"... riiight). Then I went home and slept. I was awakened at 7:30 a.m. to drive my dad to the airport to pick up the rental car. After we got back, I finished packing and getting together all my stuff. I think my dad and I left around 9, maybe 9:30. Mom and Lara drove down separately. Anyways, so we drove down to Chicago and went to my grandmother's where I changed for the wake and then we all went to the funeral home where Lara and I pretty much sat and did homework from 2:30 to 9 p.m. After the wake, the four of us went to my godparents' house where we had yummy Chicago pizza. Then we went back to the hotel and slept.
Friday, Oct 3 - I woke up around 8 and took a shower in a shower meant for people Monica or Nichole's size (hehe). The showerhead was at about the same height as my mouth. Anyways, so I showered and got up and got dressed. Then we grabbed breakfast and went to pick up Grandma and Uncle Bud (her brother) and headed over to the funeral home. The pastor did his sermon (When I die, if my funeral service is anything resembling the sermon he read, I will come back just to kick his ass... he didn't do a particularily good, in my not-so-humble opinion.) and then my dad and I hightailed it over to the cemetary and waited 30-45 minutes til the funeral procession got there. It was pouring. But we did the little graveside dealy and then we all headed over to some banquet hall for the funeral lunch - the first banquet hall I've ever had edible food in. Afterwards, around 1, we took Grandma and Bud back to the house and Mom and I headed home. Actually, first we stopped at the Polish deli to get sausages and other yummys (yummies?), then we hit the road. After spending about 2 hours in rush hour traffic (wait a minute...), we finally actually got going. We got to Oshkosh at about 7 and did Oliver. After the show, we went to Menasha Perkins - the most interesting Perkins episode I've ever had. ("Why is that white man wearing bling-bling?" "Are you a drummer?" "That's it, get out of here, traitor!") Then I went home and slept.
Saturday, Oct 4 - Got up WAY too early to do Theatrix auditions. Stopped at Wendy's for food. Went to the Grand. Did the afternoon show (actually... I let Chelsey do the afternoon show). Ate lunch. Tried to sleep. Was awakened by irritating little children going "Wake up! Wake up!" Did the evening show. Went home. Slept. :)
Sunday, Oct 5 - Well, so far I have... gotten up, showered... that's about it. I'm gonna go grab some food now.
Byeeee!

"This Life Has Been A Test"
I think I failed it...
So tell me...
How do you balance a wake Thursday & a funeral Friday which are 3 hours away from the places you need to be 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 6:30 - 10:30 p.m. both those days?
Let me tell you - you don't!
Yay I got the answer right. But that does not solve my dilemma.
If I created the world, people would die on a schedule so that you could plan ahead to organize around it.
Can't you just see it?
"Sorry, we can't have the show that weekend, my uncle-in-law has that Friday reserved to die on."
"Damn, I won't be able to make the game next week - my second cousin three times removed is scheduled to pass on to a better place that night."
No, I'm just kidding... I'm just sort of bitter.
Is it wrong of me to feel slightly indifferent about this matter? I'm more concerned about the classes I'm missing & the show falling apart than I am about having to go to a funeral. And that makes me feel like shit. I dunno, maybe I'm just screwed up.
This life has been a test.
I think I failed it.
The cheat sheet that he promised -
It never made it.
It's not fill-in-the-blank
Or multiple guess.
Must be an essay,
And my spelling's always a mess.

what is the point of living when in the end you die anyway?
what is the point of loving when it all ends eventually anyway?
what is the point of caring when all you get for it is pain anyway?
what is the point?
i just don't understand why i should even bother.
does "i need you" mean nothing anymore?
obviously it's about as important as "i love you"
which means it has about as much sway as you would get blowing air at a 100 year old oak tree.
zero
zilch
zip
nothing
matters
anymore
no one cares anyway
fuck it all
