So, I have absolutely nothing of interest to write.  This week was dull, barring Monday.

Tuesday was a typical school day - got up, went to class, slept thru watching the 1968 version of Midsummer Night's Dream in GBGM, tried not to sleep thru Jazz History, sang in choir and went home.  Cameron came over shortly thereafter and we hung out until he had to go to his lesson.  So he dropped me off at the mall and went.  We had dinner at the mall afterwards, wandered thru some stores, went home where we got dragged across the street to Jim's for 30 minutes for 'rehearsal.'  Spent the rest of the evening together and then he went home.

Wednesday was, again, uneventful.  I don't even remember what happened on Wednesday, probably nothing interesting.

Thursday, I went to school, went home, went over to Cameron's for awhile, went home.  Slept.

Friday was boring - slept til 11, went to class, came home, went to work for about 5 minutes, went to the Fails', watched the boys play Gladius on PS2, kidnapped Cameron, hung out at my house, took Cameron home, watched Law & Order with Mom, went to sleep.  On the upside, when I went into work, I thought I was going to have to sing again, but I ran into Jim Calhoun (who turned out to be the "I'm cute in that "I play football" kinda way" guy) and he was like, "I'm so sorry!  I was supposed to tell you that you don't have to be here the whole time today cuz we already know how incredible your voice is!"  So all I had to do was try on a shirt and fill out my avail. for the first two weeks and then leave.

Saturday was boring - woke up at 9, left for Chicago with the fam by 10ish, visited Grandma and Uncle Bud, went out to dinner, came home, Cameron came over, we played Rummy and I kicked his ass, Cameron went home, I went to sleep.

Today will probably be boring as well - woke up at 10, watched Jimmy Neutron with Lara because there was nothing else on, took a shower, got dressed, made a journal entry.  Later, I will be leaving to go play D&D which I will run away from for an hour so I can perform at my concert and then I will probably play D&D for the rest of the night.

There's no Friday Five for this week because Heather has a life, so I went back to some of the old ones and decided to use one...

1. If you were to go to a movie this weekend, which one would you pick? Probably either Love Actually (again!), Honey or Gothika.  But honestly, I cannot WAIT until Peter Pan comes out!  I'm so excited to see Jason Issacs as Hook!

2. What movie would you like to rent this weekend? I'm not sure, I never know what movies are out for rent.  I've been kinda wanting to see the second Tomb Raider and I'm sure I could find something to rent... maybe something older with Audrey Hepburn or something.

3. What one TV show do you always try to watch? Law & Order: SVU... hands down, favorite show lately

4. If you (and your S.O.) were cool with it, what five celebrities (at the most) would it be 'ok' for you to have a fling with? I don't think I can think of a celeb that I'd actually want to sleep with... some of them are pretty attractive and I certainly wouldn't mind meeting and talking with a lot of them, but I don't think I'd actually like to have a fling with anyone because it would be just that: a fling.

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? Well, aside from the concert on Sunday at 3 pm (which those of you who aren't in had best come to see!), I don't have anything planned.  I have to go into work tonight from 4-6 also and probably cart my sister around afterwards but other than that, tonight and tomorrow night are wide open.  I imagine I will spend some time with Cameron (yay!) but who knows what else I'll end up doing?

Mk, I know I haven't blogged since Monday... but I will later, maybe during Theory.  We'll see.

So, I had to go sing for my boss today (at Vegas Lounge & Restaurant).

I intended to sing "Why Can't You Behave?" from Kiss Me Kate so I had Nichole bring the book with accompanyment CD that she has.

So, I drove down to College Ave. and practiced in my car for awhile.

I went in and Ben was like, "Ah, come to sing for me?" and he and this other guy (whose name I can't remember but he's kinda cute in the I'm A Football Player way) and I went into the kitchen.

So, he popped in the CD and told me not to be nervous because, "This isn't an audition.  I just want to make sure everyone can sing as well as they claimed."

I started singing and he and the other guy stood across the room.

So, I got as far as "Why can't you behave?  Oh, why can't you behave?" when he told me to stop singing.

I was a little confused and thought maybe I had messed up but he came over and was like, "I've heard enough!  That was incredible!  You have a beautiful voice.  You said you were a belter and, wow, you really are!  That totally made my day so much better!" and he hugged me!

So, the other guy was like, "Pardon my language, but that was fucking awesome."

I smiled lots and lots and kinda floated on air as they saw me out and continued praising my voice.

So, I'm really happy because I've been hating my voice a lot lately because of the way and the songs I have to sing in voice lessons.

Okay, so it's Monday, December 1, and I haven't posted since Thanksgiving.

So, here's some 'update-age' as Andy puts it...

Thursday:
Thanksgiving was largely uneventful.  I woke up around 10, feeling like crap, so I took drugs and went back to sleep til 1.  Then I got up and helped with the final preps for our rather boring Turkey Day.  We ate turkey and I thanked the Turkey for my wonderful friends, my great boyfriend, my family, and all the other things you could imagine me thanking a turkey for.  Then we watched some TV and Cameron came over around 9:30.  He stayed til about midnight and then I kicked him out so that I could sleep.

Friday:
Another uneventful day.  Since I still felt not-very-well, I slept late again and wasted most of the day lounging around in my pjs.  In the evening, I ended up going to see Love Actually (GREAT MOVIE!) with Monica, Cathy, Nichole and Laura.  We laughed, we cried, it moved us.  Then we went back to Laura's where we began a deep and meaningful conversation.  Unfortunately (and yet, fortunately), 11 p.m. rolled around pretty quickly and so we were off to Perkins to see Llamarface Steve and many others.  We stayed at Perkins until about midnight-thirty and then we stopped at Monica's and headed back to Laura's to talk and sleep.  Laura fell asleep around 2 a.m. but the rest of us talked til about 4. 

Saturday: We got up bloody early because Laura had to work at 8:30.  So I drove Nichole and Cathy home and got back to my house around 7:45.  Then I went back to bed til about noon.  Cameron came over shortly thereafter and we hung out and watched the extended version of Lord of the Rings 2.  Then we went to Subway for dinner and Windows of Light to get Cameron a new ring (his broke).  Then we went back to my house and played CTR until he had to leave to go to Adina's birthday party.  After he left, I ate dinner and then went to Travis' where Andy, Travis and I talked for awhile as Travis ate a pizza for dinner.  Then we went and picked up Nichole and Cathy at their house.  We went to Blockbuster (rented 28 Days Later), Shopko (food) and Pick'n'Save (cheese popcorn!) before heading back to Travis' to watch the movie.  The movie was... semi-odd... but good.  After it was over, we watched the alternate endings and commentaries and such and then it was late so we went home.

Sunday: My mom and Lara went shopping at, like, 9 a.m. so I slept in and got up when they got home.  Then Cameron came over and we watched the extended version of the Lord of the Rings 1 until Adrienne called us for D&D so we went over to Louis' and played.  We ended up killing off Shannon, Cameron & Jay's characters (oops!) and so they spent about an hour making new ones.  Then Cameron had to leave so the rest of us departed shortly thereafter.  I got home around 10:30 and watched Law & Order: SVU with Mom and then went downstairs, intending to go to bed. 

Monday: So, I couldn't fall asleep and ended up reading until 1 a.m. and then I got up and did some stuff on the computer until about 2:30.  Then I worked on my voice lesson music until 3 (and my mom thought she was hearing things, but it was just me singing) and I finally fell asleep around 4 a.m. only to wake up again at 5:38... and 6:07... and so I reset my alarm clock for 9 a.m. instead of 8 and ended up getting up at 9:20 and dragged myself to school.  I went to Ear Training where we did dictation stuff and then I hung out in the ER with Nichole.  Around 11:40, I went to warm up for my voice lesson, determined that I hate Handel, went to my voice lesson where I sounded decent.  Now I'm sitting here in Theory not really paying much attention.  Class is over shortly and then I will be going over to VL&R to sing for Ben before going home.

What an exciting week... are you excited that I updated?  Rah.

So yeah, I kinda figured that I don't really need anything for Christmas... but if anyone wants to get me anything, here's a short list of things that I wouldn't mind having... lol...

-Pirates of the Caribbean DVD
-School of Rock soundtrack
-The Fighting Temptations soundtrack
-Finding Nemo DVD

I may add more later... but that's it for now...

Okay, so I'm really not a big fan of the holidays, to be honest.  The parents tend to get cranky, then I get cranky and it's just a mess.  BUT, I hope that everyone does have happy holidays, regardless of the stress level and other problems.

Anyways, so it's been a couple days since I posted, but to be honest, I don't really think anything of great notice happened the past couple days so, I'm not going to bother with much of an overview.

Monday - Went to Ear Training but came home after it because I felt really crummy... went over to Cameron's for a bit in the evening and he and Adrienne and I went to Perkins...

Tuesday - Went to Great Books to Great Music (lit. quiz)... went to Jazz History (assessment)... went to Choir... went home.  Went to It's A Wonderful Life rehearsal... went to Perkins with Adrienne, Louis, Cameron & Laura... went to see The Fighting Temptations (good movie!) with Cameron, Laura, Cathy & Andy... went home.

Wednesday - Went to Ear Training... went to Theory... stopped over at Vegas Lounge & Restaurant to fill out some stuff... went home.  Went shopping with Mom & Lara.  Cameron came over... we watched Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Extended Version) and Moulin Rouge... then he went home and I went to sleep.

Today - Woke up around 10... felt like crap... took drugs and went back to sleep til 1... rah Turkey Day...

Off to continue feeling ill... bleah.

Well, Theatrix is done for now... yay, and yet... not yay.  Oh well.
